Since childhood I have been a dreamer, I walk with my head in the clouds.
My desire for authenticity, freedom, depth and sincere connection is the common thread throughout my life. This desire drives me further and further to take steps towards a life that is more and more in line with who I really am.
At the same time, I am also down-to-earth and analytical, I quickly see through systems and patterns, and I love to dig in the soil with my hands, to plant even more trees in a country full of forests.

My dream is to make Barn of Life a place where you can go for contemplation, reflection, depth. Our intention is to invite people to land in themselves, to heal, through an offer of bodywork, breathing sessions, meditation, connection with nature, …

Mathias, me and the children, we are a close team with a warm heart. We are eager to welcome you with open arms.

Van kindsbeen af ben ik een dromer, loop ik met mijn hoofd in de wolken.
Mijn verlangen naar authenticiteit, vrijheid, diepgang en oprechte verbinding vormt de rode draad doorheen mijn leven. Dit verlangen drijft me steeds verder om stappen te zetten naar een leven dat meer en meer aansluit bij wie ik echt ben.
Tegelijkertijd ben ik ook nuchter en analytisch, doorzie ik snel systemen en patronen, en hou ik ervan om met mijn handen in de aarde te wroeten, om in een land vol bossen nog meer bomen bij te planten.

Mijn droom is om van Barn of Life een plek te maken waar je terecht kan voor bezinning, reflectie, diepgang. Onze intentie is om via een aanbod van lichaamswerk, ademsessies, meditatie, connectie met de natuur, … mensen uit te nodigen om te landen in zichzelf, te helen.

Mathias, ik en de kinderen, wij zijn een hecht team met een warm hart. We staan te popelen om jou met open armen te ontvangen.

Who Are We

We are Mathias and Elke, our 2 daughters Roosje and Nette, our dog Bowie and tomcat Flor.

After many trips to Sweden with our family, we became addicted to the peace, space and nature that the country has to offer.

In 2020 we decided together to take the plunge and moved to Sweden. In 2021 we bought an old farm and a lot of work.

Wie zijn wij?

Wij zijn Mathias en Elke, onze 2 dochters Roosje en Nette, onze hond Bowie en kater Flor.

Na vele reizen met ons gezin naar Zweden raakten we verslingerd aan de rust, de ruimte en de natuur die het land te bieden heeft.

In 2020 besloten we samen om de sprong te wagen en verhuisden naar Zweden. In 2021 kochten we een oude boerderij en heel veel werk.

Concept

Barn of life wants to be a place for people to rest and come to themselves in the middle of nature, away from the hustle and bustle.

We dream of a loving world where people live together with respect for each other and in harmony with mother earth. It is our dream to create a place here where people can go to rest, come to themselves, to reflect. We hope to inspire people to take steps towards an authentic life that suits them, that makes them happy.

You can come to us for a retreat, bodywork, creative workshops, theme weeks,… If you want to organize something yourself, it is possible to rent the location.
Or maybe you just want to get away for a while. That is also possible. You are welcome here for a holiday, but a longer stay is also possible. If you would like to stay with us longer and possibly lend a hand, please contact us personally.

Concept

Barn of life wil graag een plek zijn voor mensen om uit te rusten en tot zichzelf te komen midden in de natuur, weg van de drukte.

Wij dromen van een liefdevolle wereld waar mensen samenleven met respect voor elkaar en in harmonie met moeder aarde. Het is onze droom om hier een plekje te creëren waar mensen terecht kunnen om te rusten, tot zichzelf te komen, te bezinnen. Wij hopen mensen te inspireren om zelf stappen te zetten naar een authentiek leven dat bij hen past, dat hen gelukkig maakt.

Je kan bij ons terecht voor een retraite, lichaamswerk, creatieve workshops, themaweken,… Wil je zelf iets organiseren, is het mogelijk de locatie te huren.
Of misschien wil je er gewoon even tussenuit. Ook dat kan. Je bent hier welkom voor een vakantie maar een langer verblijf is ook mogelijk. Heb je zin om langer bij ons te blijven en eventueel mee de handen uit de mouwen te steken, contacteer ons dan persoonlijk.

Barn of life is nog volop in opbouw en kan alle hulp goed gebruiken. Wil je ons steunen met ideeën, vrijwilligerswerk, een investering, …
